The Swiss company Mindset AG will produce an ultra-lightweight hybrid coupe vehicle with roof-mounted solar panels.

The Minsed AG Six50, has a 95 HP electric motor which can be recharged at home or with its ICE engine, a .63 liter V2 engine good for 24 HP.

One of the main features is that the car is very light, with only 800 kg (1600 pounds), for a car that's 4.2 meters (14 ft) long, 1.4 meters (4 ft 8 in) high, and uses 22-inch wheels with very low-profile tires.

The Mindset expect to reach 140 km/h (75 mph) and go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than six seconds.

Mindset AG has 10,000 units planned by 2009. If you are interested, it will set you back around $78,000 dollars.

The round headlights are similar to the sports car design of the 1950s and 1960s.
